Last Saturday Sarah and I photographed Erin and Nate’s Wedding in Cincinnati. The ceremony took place at St. Theresa of Avila Church. It was a rather dark church, but thanks to our awesome cameras we were able to get some very intimate shots. We also used our new video lights as well as studio strobes for our unique Hybrid Lighting wedding system. The bridal party traveled in style during the day in a Motortoys Limo Party bus. The reception was held at the newly renovated Madison Event Center in Covington where Sound nMotion DJs kept the guest rockin. Here are some choice pics from the night.
I love this shot because of the leading lines of the arrow in the front parking lot pointing to Erin and Nathan. We also used a flash from behind the couple to illuminate the church to add some dimension and added the main light on camera right to separate the couple from the background.
I love capturing the emotions of the day in a photojournalistic style.

As I mentioned before, the church was very dark which means no flash during the ceremony. During the Unity Candle lighting, the candle light was just right to provide for a great mood for this image.This is another amazing church in Cincinnati. Beautiful details inside and out and I wanted to capture the couple inside in a unique way with our Hybrid-lighting wedding system.As you can imagine, the party bus was a very fun experience as pole dancing was shot shows.
The bridal entrance to the reception was combination of Tebowing, using the flowers as a football, chest bumps, and large cutouts of Erin and Nathan.
As I mentioned, Madison Event Center redecorated for the 2012 wedding season and the white “leather” wall is one of the new additions to the lobby.
Erin and Nate fed each other cake, but I don’t think they actually tasted any of it.
It is important to photograph the events from various angles during our photojournalist reception coverage to capture the emotions and the details.
We always try to pull our couples out during convenient times at the reception for some portraits. Here we are again with our Hybrid-lighting system in front of The Madison.
