On Saturday I photographed my first Russian wedding. We spent the morning getting ready at the Cincinnatian Hotel where Anatoly, as is customary in the Russian weddings, had to complete a handful of tasks before being allowed to see Jana. After some quick formals at the Cincinnatian, Motortoys Limousines brought the bridal party to Alms Park for the ceremony and some formals with the guests and family. Over the next two three hours we made stops at the Newport Aquarium, Purple People Bridge, and Piatt Park for more formals before arriving at Pebble Creek for our reception.
Thanks to Niki and Rebecca for their lending their photography skills. Here are select pics from the wedding day. For more make sure to visit our Facebook page.
Enjoy, Max.
I always try to look for great light with which we can “play” to make our Contemporary style of photography stand out. Here I saw a spot light and some cool lines to provide a backdrop for Jana.
The Cincinnatian has an awesome staircase which provides great “Leading lines” for some powerful images composition when coupled with a lot of negative space.
I always give props to people who make my company look good. Here is an example of my assistant Rebecca with a Canon 1DMKIII and 100-400 mm lens. That has to be about my heaviest combination of camera body and gear… at about 5 lbs.
Here are the MOH, myself and the Bride.
