Continuing with the engagement theme weekend, Niki and I went to Sharon Woods this morning to capture Jun and Laura’s engagement. This was our second engagement of our trifecta engagement weekend set. Jun is an avid motorcycle rider, while Laura is just getting her permit. We are going to be capturing an amazing motocycle shot sometime before their August wedding. Stay tuned for more and enjoy the following.
Below is an example of a creative lighting shot. We used a combination of ambient light, strobes in the front and in the back to really set Jun and Laura out from the background. Check out the awesome “Rim Light effect” on Laura’s hair. That is a sweet image.
Jun had a set of guns on him that Laura had a hard time putting both of her hands around them.
fThe engagement details are just as important in telling a story as the overall engagement set. Here Jun was paying respects with a bracelet to his late brother.
As I mentioned the details are key. Here is Laura’s bling bling.
When we shoot we usually don’t “chimp”, that is a photographers term for looking down at the back of the camera. If we did, we would miss these genuine interaction moments.
