As I get ready for a super busy weekend of weddings, engagements, football action and senior sessions, I thought that I would try something completely different. I am going to use my studio stobes with my portable power packs for external shots. My intention is to produce super clean images where the subject “pops” from the background and the background is vivid and not a washed out “white mess”. Ordinarily, I would have used my on camera or off camera flashes, but I just don’t think there is enough power to compensate for high noon sun. I LOVE the results so far. I think this is the approach that I am going to use this weekend. Here I used my 7 and 8 year old boys to demonstrate my approach as they frolicked on our front lawn.
