Dayton Wedding Photographers | Polen Farm

Yesterday, Patrick and Ashley were married on at Polen Farm in Kettering OH. We were privileged to capture the wedding day. I was helped out by my excellent 2nd photographer Niki Jahns and my intrepid assistant Brian Trester. I also want to mention the assistance of Shawn Huey of All The Right Tunes. They were great at coordinating the events when things went off schedule. Sunday was a great sunny day, which allowed us to do some great Infrared images although finding open shade for the formal pictures was a challenge. Nonetheless, we were able to get some great images. Here is Ashley ready for the big day.Polen Farm Weddings by Maxim Photo StudioThis is the infrared image of the Polen Farm Barn. The key to IR imagery is the presence of the sun which makes all greenery (grass and trees) glow white and the blues of the sky to appear more vivid. Incidentally, in case anyone was going to try to shoot IR, IR is not good when used with people as the skin appears to be ghostly white and very unattractive. Ashley was a beautiful bride and I didn’t want to take away from that.Polen Farm Weddings by Maxim Photo Studio
